What version of Microsoft .NET Compact Framework do I have at the moment?

Some devices may already come with version 2.0 already installed, but if not, you can download the update by clicking here.

Chances are you will not know what version your device has installed.

To find out, select Start | Programs | File Explorer.

Now go to My Device\windows using File Explorer.

Run the program called "cgacutil". This will tell you the exact version your device has installed, for example:

You can see here that Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 1.0 is installed.

As the version is less than 2.0, we will need to update it.
